When you said: Go away!
I turned around and left you in style,
Hoping you´d finally ask me to stay,
Or change your mind, after a while.
When you said: No; wait!
I slackened my pace, paused in the twilight zone,
Still feeling confidence instead of hate,
Losing eternities on hoping alone.
When you said: Come again!
My mind went wild, ready to spoil you rotten,
When slowly I realized in pain
That something had been forgotten.
Something hidden under the surface
Of your impenetrable explanations,
Something blurred in the tearless mist,
Of my predictable lamentations.
Dammit! Something has been forgotten!
Why can´t we get round to looking ahead?
Why don´t we tempt fate, turn for the better,
And fight for friendship, before it´s too late?
